Bill has had 40 years of experience practicing law. Bill started at Rider, Bennett, Egan and Arundel for five years as a litigator in areas of commercial disputes, environmental, products liability, and insurance defense.
In 1978, he joined Honeywell’s legal department, where he was In-House Counsel for 17 years. Bill was Vice-President and Associate General Counsel, and for a five month period was acting General Counsel. He managed various legal functions including: Litigation, Corporate, Real Estate, Employment and Environmental. His areas of practice included: Securities fraud, Patent litigation, Product liability, contract, and International. Bill then joined Simplex Time Research of Massachusetts in 1995 as Vice-President, General Counsel, and Secretary. He was responsible for all legal functions of the company and also managed the Health, Safety and Environmental Department.
In 1999, Bill became Vice-President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Jostens, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a publicly traded company, he was responsible for all securities filings with the SEC.
In 2001, Bill pursued private practice in areas of litigation and business. He was also appointed as a neutral to the American Arbitration Association, where he has arbitrated cases of distributor termination, IT contracts, and investment fraud. His niche practice is a part-time general counsel and litigation manager for start-ups and small businesses.
